Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara districts will experience fairly heavy rainfall today(20), the Meteorology Department forecasted.
Above 50mm rainfall is expected in the above areas while several spells of showers may occur in North western province and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya and Hambantota districts, the Met. Dept said.
The highest rainfall during the past 24 hours was reported from Derangala, Matara (77.0 mm).
Meanwhile, the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued a landslide early warning to Haldumulla and Haputale divisional secretariat divisions and surrounding areas in Badulla district.
