The price of imported milk powder will be increased from tomorrow (31), the Milk powder importers said.
They explained that one kilo of milk powder would be increased by Rs 150, making the new price of one kilo of milk powder to be Rs 1345. The 400g packet price too has been increased by Rs 60, making its new price Rs 540.
There was a shortage of imported milk powder in the markets during the previous months as the importers were demanding further increase in the prices.
During the month of October the importers increased the price of a kilo of milk powder by RS 250 while the 400 gram packet was increased by Rs 100.
The importers claim that the milk powder shortage in the market will ease off with the new price increase tomorrow.
