Transport and Highways Minister Bandula Gunawardena said that he will be restructuring public transport as a solution for the fuel crisis.
He made statement today while taking part in a discussion held at Railways Department.
The minister said that they discussed how the economic crisis have negatively affected the people and how to restructure and improve uninterrupted public transportation.
Mr Gunawardena has ordered officials to repair and use train compartments which were not used. He instructed the officials to quickly set up as system to to increase the number of trains deployed to help the people who are facing difficulty due to fuel crisis.
