Cabinet has approved the measure taken by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to appoint a ministerial committee to make necessary policy recommendations and solutions to ensure that essential consumer goods are supplied to the market without shortage.
The committee comprises the following members: Minister of Finance – Chairman, Minister of Trade, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Ports and Shipping, State Minister of Co-Operative Services, Marketing Development and Consumer Protection, State Minister of Ornamental Fish, Inland Fish & Prawn Farming, Fishery Harbour Development, Multiday Fishing and Fish Exports and State Minister of Livestock, Farm Promotion and Dairy and Egg Related Industries.
