The Finance Ministry has sent out a circular to all ministry secretaries directing them to conduct a survey in their ministries regarding luxury vehicles in the possession of each ministry.
The circular directs the ministry secretaries to conduct a survey on luxury vehicles including V 8 vehicles that are in the possession of their ministries. Accordingly, details of all ministry vehicles with an engine capacity of 2000cc or more for diesel vehicles and 1800cc for petrol vehicles are to be forwarded to the Finance Ministry.
The ministries have been directed to complete the survey on such vehicles and submit a report to the Finance Ministry within three months.
