The water level in the Kelani river is rising resulting in a minor flood situation in several areas in the Colombo and Gampaha districts, the Irrigation Department warned.
Accordingly the residents in Seethawaka, Dompe, Homagama, Kaduwela, Biyagama, Kolonnawa, Colombo and Wattala have been warned that the flood situation can increase in the next 48 hours.
