A 20 year old fisherman from Delft who went missing two days ago was found dead near Nainativu sea today, the local fisheries department in Jaffna said.
On Sunday, two fishermen from Delft went missing when they left with seafood to deliver at Kurikaaduvaan jetty, Jaffna. The following day, their fishing boat was found near the coast.
The victim is identified as 20 year old Mariyavethanayagam Nesan from Delft island. A search operation is underway to track the other 43 year old missing fisherman Gnansingam Robinson from 10th post, Delft.
