The body of a nine-year-old school girl who had gone missing on Friday was found today at a marshy land at the back of her house Atalugama in Bandaragama.
The police said that the girl identified as Fathima Ayisha a grade four student on Friday went missing after she went to buy some provisions 250 meters away from her house.
The Acting Magistrate Indrani Udawatta had visited the crime scene. Bandaragama police said that they are carrying out further investigations.
The body of the girl has been taken to Bandaragama hospital to conduct the post mortem inquiry
