More showers expected today in several areas
The Meterogloy department forsee that showers will occur at times in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Furhtermore,Several spells of showers will occur in North-western province and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Showers or thundershowers will also occur at several places in Uva and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa district during the evening or night.
The Department of Meteorology requests the General public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
