A large stock of sugar reportedly imported by Pyramid Wilmar (Pvt) Ltd was taken into custody today (13) by officials of the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) in Wattala on the grounds that the stocks were not properly registered.
CAA officials who took part in the raid said the entire stock amounted to 2400 metric tons and was owned by the Pyramid Wilmar Company.
The warehouse at Enderamulla old Sathosa yard was sealed.
