A woman who suffered serious injuries in an earthslip in Warakapola that took the life of her son also succumbed to her injuries yesterday.
The earthslip occurred at Tholangamuwa in Warakapola at about 10.30pm on May 13 during torrential rains. It buried the house the victims were living in.
A 55-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene while his 83-year-old mother died from her injuries yesterday at the Kandy Hospital, where she had been transferred after being first admitted to the Warakapola Hospital.
