The much delayed General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O/L) examination for 2022 commenced today at 3,568 centers across the island, Commissioner General of Examinations Amit Jayasundara said.
A total of 394,450 school and 78,103 private candidates are currently sitting for the delayed 2022 O/L Exam held from today till June8, the Commissioner said in a statement.
With atleast 40,000 staff being deployed for examination duties, the Commissioner said assistance of the armed forces including Police also obtained to ensure examination centers are secure for the students who are sitting for the exams. (Pix by Akila Akila Jayawardena)
