The National People’s Power (NPP) has handed over a pledge to the Catholic Church assuring that a full investigation will be carried out into the Easter Sunday attack under a future NPP Government.
NPP National Executive Committee members presented the pledge to Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith.
The pledge was handed over by Attorney at Law Mr. Upul Kumarapperuma, Attorney at Law Sunil Watawala, Prof. Krishantha Abesena, Lecturer Vijith Rohan and NPP Activist Aruna Shantha Nonis.

The Colombo High Court today (28) sentenced former parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra to three years of Rigorous Imprisonment over charges of the involvement of an abduction.
In his special statement, President Ranil Wickremesinghe announced that debt restructuring agreements will postpone all bilateral loan payments to foreign countries until 2028. Additionally, Sri Lanka will have until 2043 to repay these loans on concessional terms.
