Due to the prevailing rainfall The Department of Wildlife Conservation has closed down six National Parks completely until further notice.
Accordingly that Horton Plains, Wasgamuwa, Kumana, Wilpattu, Minneriya and Kaudulla National Parks will be completely closed for visitors.
On December 01,02,03,04 and 05 the Yala National Park also have been closed down whereas zone 06 is open through the Kalupahana entrance to visitors.
Meanwhile visitors who have already booked accommodation either bungalows or holiday homes within these National Parks will be allowed to reschedule to their bookings to a later.
