Navy and Special Task Force (STF) during a special combined operation nabbed about 311 grams and 250 milligrams of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) and about 47 grams and 600 milligrams of hashish with three suspects, in Rajagiriya area early this week.
Personnel from Navy and STF Rajagiriya arrested the suspects during their attempt to transfer the narcotic substances for sale, according to the Navy. Suspects aged between 26 to 30 are residents of Borella, the SLN also said.
Meanwhile, the suspects and narcotic substances were handed over to the Borella Police for onward legal action. The entire operation was conducted adhering to healthcare guidelines.
