Navy discovers 50 commercial explosive sticks from Jaffna
A naval search operation carried out in Allappiddi,Jaffna on Sunday (April 30) led to the findings of 50 explosive sticks, 15 non-electric detonators and 172cm of safety fuse, Navy said.
The recovered stocks had been hidden close to beach in a bag. Preliminary investigations revealed that these items are to be used for illegal fishing. Navy handed these over to the Naval custody for further legal action
