A 84kg stock of Kerala cannabis was retrieved on the northern shore during a joint operation by the Sri Lanka Navy, the Army, and the Police Special Task Force (STF).
Accordingly, 40 parcels totaling 84.6 kg of cannabis were recovered stashed in three large sacks in the shrubbery along the beach at the time of the operation, which took place on January 8 near Vallipuram, Jaffna.
The Sri Lanka Navy estimates that the cannabis stash, which was later handed over to the Point Pedro Police, has a street value over Rs. 33 million.
