Air Vice Marshal (Retired) H.M.S.K.B. Kotakadeniya has been appointed as the new Director General and Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Civil Aviation Authority, by the Minister of Ports, Maritime Affairs, and Aviation, Mr. Nimal Siripala de Silva following Cabinet recommendation.
The nomination follows Mr. P.A. Jayakantha's retirement from the CAA.
Air Vice Marshal Kotakadeniya holds Postgraduate Degrees from the University of Madras, India, in security and strategic studies, as well as from the University of Colombo in International Relations.
In addition, he has received further education in defense universities in the United States of America and China.
He retired from the Sri Lanka Air Force in 2020 after 34 years of service. He was one of the dedicated Helicopter pilots.
Mr. K.D.S. Ruwanchachandra, the Secretary of the Ministry also took part in this event.
