A national hospital and Children’s hospital is to be established in the Biyagama area, of the Gampaha district.
A cabinet proposal to release seven acres of land in the Biyagama North was approved on Monday.
The cabinet had taken into consideration the high population growth in Gampaha district and the industrialization of the district. As a result the demand for health services has been increasing.
Accordingly, a National Hospital and a Children Hospital has been planned to be established in that district under the public-private partnership system.
