The Commissioner General of Examination will announce new dates for the 2023 GCE Advanced Level Examination in the next few days, Education Minister Susil Premajayantha informed Parliament this morning.
Several MPs from both the government and opposition have requested that the examination be postponed owing to complaints from students and teachers that they have not had enough time to cover the syllabus in time for the exams.
Minister Premajayantha said the decision to reschedule the examination was up to the Commissioner General of Examinations and said the Commissioner General had taken the concerns expressed by different quarters into account.
