The 2024 GCE Advanced Level Examination will not be postponed and will be held as scheduled, the Department of Examinations said today.
Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara told the media that the A/Level examination will be held from November 25 to December 20 as previously scheduled.
Mr Jayasundara said that however, some reports were being shared on social media claiming that the examination would be postponed, creating uncertainty and confusion in the minds of candidates. He appealed to candidates not to be misled by social media reports and to only pay attention to official statements issued by the Examinations Department.
He also asked candidates to download the official timetable for the examination from the Examinations Department website. Admission cards for the examination will also be issued soon, he further said.
