The government will not import vehicles or issue vehicle permits for MPs, as it is not a priority given the country’s economic conditions, Cabinet Spokesperson Nalinda Jayatissa reiterated today.
Responding to a question, the Cabinet Spokesperson said that the government's priority is to revive the country after the economic crisis.
Last week the government relaxed the ban on importing vehicles after five years while introducing hefty taxes on vehicle imports as well.
