Four men in their early twenties went missing at Ellawala falls in Wellawaya on Monday.
The deceased, residents of Kalmunai, were among a group of 10 youngsters.
Ellawala falls, a popular local tourist attraction, was closed to tourists last year after it claimed several lives. It was opened for tourists recently after displaying warning sign boards. Sources said about 13 people have died in Ellawala falls recently. In October 2021 a father and his two children drowned at the same venue.
