A fisherman of the Ambalangoda Fisheries Harbour succumbed to his injuries after falling into a cargo hold of a multi-day fishing trawler and inhaling noxious gas, hospital sources said.
Seven fishermen who went to his rescue also inhalied the noxious gas, and were hospitalised.
