Police reported that one person died and six others were injured when a passenger bus fell over a culvert in the Karandagolla area on the Ella-Wellawaya main road this morning (July 18).
The injured have been identified as employees of the Uma Oya project who were heading home after their night shift and the bus transporting them was involved in the accident
The injured persons have been hospitalized in the Wellawaya Base Hospital.
A spokesperson of the hospital has confirmed that their condition is not grave.
