An open verdict has been returned into the death of a girl who died while attending a wedding ceremony on Sunday in Puttalam.
The girl had shown an allergy reaction after consuming meat and had been rushed to hospital, but was pronounced dead on admission.
She was identified as Dharshani Wijewardana, a student of a national school in Puttalam.
Assistant Judicial Medical Officer Kulendra Premadasa who conducted the postmortem returned an open verdict and the specimens of the body was sent to the Government Analyst.
