A multi day fishing trawler carrying over 200 kgs of heroin with a street value over Rs. 4,000 million was detected by the Sri Lanka Navy this morning at Dondra Point.
The boat along with five suspects and the illegal substance were seized at deep sea in an operation conducted by the Intelligence Division of the Sri Lanka Navy together with the Police Narcotics Bureau.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Sri Lanka Navy and the Police Narcotics Bureau.
