A total of 318 persons who have attempted to enter Western province violating provincial quarantine order have been sent back by police on Thursday (12), Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said.
Meanwhile, 161 vehicles that crossed the provincial border have been turned away by police at road blocks located at the entry and exit points of Western province, he said.
The Police Spokesman said five persons who have arrived in four vehicles violating provincial travel restrictions have been arrested by police and are to be produced before courts today.
