Over 800 COVID-positive cases reported on Jan 21
A total of 873 COVID-positive cases were reported on Thursday (21), making it one of the highest numbers recorded on a single day, the Government Information Department said.
A 46-year-old male from Athurugiriya and a 71-year-old female from Peliyagoda died on Thursday from pneumonia and other complications caused by Coronavirus, increasing the total death toll to 276.
