Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa today said he is willing to discuss with protestors at Galle Face Green.
The Prime Minister’s Office said the Premier is ready for talks with those representing the protestors.
His office said Mr. Rajapaksa is willing to discuss the concerns and views of the protestors and find ways to use their input to overcome present challenges.
The Galle Face gathering entered its fifth consecutive day today with environmentalists to join today's protest.
Clergy, teacher and principals unions, artists joined Tuesday's protest with several prominent singers, artists showing support to the young protesters who have been temporarily settled in make-shift tents demanding the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the removal of 225 public representatives.
The protest continues despite heavy rain and thunderstorms.
