Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is tipped to bring the Finance Ministry under his purview, official sources said.
While five appointments have been to the cabinet inclusive of the PM, further cabinet appointments are likely to be finalised today ahead of tomorrow’s (Tuesday’s) session of parliament. Former Finance Minister Ali Sabri who served a short period in this post, which included discussions in Washington with World Bank and IMF officials, has declined to be reappointed. (Bandula)
