WATTALA: 57 year old burned to death over a family dispute.
HASALAKA: 61 year old arrested for possession of locally produced gun.
NORWOOD: Three suspects arrested for unlicensed gem mining.
GOKARELLA: 19 year old dead after falling from motorbike.
MINNERIYA: 38 year old killed in a car accident in Bataoya.
SIGIRIYA: 33 year old killed in a car accident in Inamaluwa.
PETTAH: 77 year old killed in a car accident in front of the Gold Center bus stop.
MIRIHANA: An unidentified person killed in a car accident near Delkanda junction.
WENNAPPUWA: 59 year old killed in a car accident in Thoppuwa.
VAVNATHIVU: 88 year old killed in a car accident in Kuringnamuna.
KALPITIYA: A sudden fire occurred in a coir mill.
A short while later, the official car of the Commander of the Navy, bearing plate NAHA 5006, departed from Navy House, Longdon Place, Colombo 7.
