PILIYANDALA: 43 year old arrested for possession of 33 liters of illegal alcohol, 5450 liters of goda, a gas cylinder, two gas stoves and a copper wire.
MASKELIYA: Four suspects arrested for unlicensed gem mining.
NORWOOD: 43 year old arrested for unlicensed gem mining.
GRANDPASS: A sudden fire occurred in Kajimawatha, displacing 80 families.
