The health condition of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital, after being placed on remand custody will be reviewed by a panel of doctors later in the day, a senior doctor at the hospital said.
He said it is based on their report it would have to be decided whether Mr Wickremesinghe would be able to attend tomorrow’s court session.
Mr Wickremesinghe was remanded on Friday (25), until August 26, Tuesday.
Meanwhile restrictions have been placed on the number of visitors for Mr Wickremesinghe.
More than 10 jailors and prison guards have been placed for security in the hospital in addition to the police guards who have been placed outside the hospital.
