The Ministry of Education has announced that government and government-approved private schools will continue operating in phased academic terms throughout 2025, as outlined in a newly issued circular.
This phased approach applies to all Sinhala, Tamil, and Muslim schools under government or government-approved private management.
The Ministry has further confirmed that the 2024 GCE Ordinary Level Examination will take place in March 2025, while the 2025 GCE Advanced Level Examination is scheduled for October and November 2025.
