Police Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nihal Thalduwa has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police.
He will take charge as DIG of Police Crime Range and will also continue to function as Police Spokesman.
DIG Thalduwa joined the police on August 2, 1992 and rose through the ranks to be promoted to SSP on January 1, 2018.
He is an old boy of Richmond College, Galle.
