Former Minister Johnston Fernando and son arrested by FCID

The Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) today arrested Former Minister Johnston Fernando and his youngest son, Gerome Kenneth Fernando,  in connection with the alleged misuse of a Sathosa vehicle during Fernando’s tenure as Minister.

They were due to be produced in the courts. 

Borella police assaulted man following mistaken identity

A Deraniyagala resident has accused the Borella Police officers of physically assaulting him after mistakenly identifying him as a suspect in a Dehiwala shooting case.
