Police have arrested a suspect who allegedly stole a motor vehicle undergoing repairs at a garage in Mirihana.
The vehicle, valued at Rs. 4 million, had been parked at the garage when it was reported stolen. Mirihana Police arrested a 42-year-old resident of Maligawatta in connection with the theft following an investigation.
Police were able to locate the stolen vehicle following interrogation of the suspect. He was produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate's Court yesterday and remanded in custody till May 13. Mirihana Police are investigating.
