Police launch search for female suspect in Ganemulla Sanjeewa shooting

Police have launched a search in the Kalpitiya area for the female accomplice involved in the Ganemulla Sanjeewa's shooting incident in the Hulftsdorp Magistrate Court complex today morning.

All hotels and guest houses in the area have been alerted about the suspect.

The 26 year old woman had posed off as a lawyer and helped to smuggle the weapon into the court house.

She has been identified as Pinpura Dewage Ishara Sewandi from Negombo.

Police believe that she was in the area possibly to illegally travel by boat to India.
