Police search for armed gang

Police have launched a search for four robbers who stole cash, jewelry and a mobile phone at gunpoint.
A team of four robbers have stolen Rs 9 30,000 worth of cash a 29 pounds of gold jewelry and a mobiles while holding the residents of a house at Madampe area at gunpoint, Police said.

They explained that they have received a complaint that the four suspects who were clad with face masks had come to a house of a businessman in a white van and stolen their cash, Jewelry and a mobile at gunpoint.
The men had called over at the house inquiring about the Businessman.

However, when the residents informed that the businessman had gone out of the house, the robbers came into the house and intimidated the residents by showing them a firearm and a sword.

The four robbers have forced the wife, son and daughter in-law of the businessman who were at the house during the time of the robbery to get inside the house and tie their hands, afterwards they have found the money, jewelry and a mobile phone and fled.

The Madampe Police are carrying out further investigations to arrest the four suspects.
