Police have launched a search operation to trace the whereabouts of a 16-year-old boy who has been reported missing since yesterday.
Aldon Devon Kenny is an Ordinary Level (O/L) student at a leading private school in Bambalapitiya. He is a resident of Ratmalana. His mother stated that he had told her he was not going to school last morning but had then left home without telling anyone.
CCTV footage from a neighbour's house has captured him leaving home at 6.20am yesterday while subsequent CCTV footage shows him passing a branch of a private bank on Galle Road and walking towards Moratuwa.
He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black trousers, back pack & slippers.
The family members request the public to inform the nearest police station if they have any information about Aldon. Members of the public who may have information can also contact Aldon's mother on 0773779850. (PCK)
