A 60-year-old man has been arrested today in the Katana area over possessing weapons and camouflage kits, police said.
They said that the suspect was identified as a land owner who carries out plantation work with his brother.
The police said that the suspect had seven guns and one nine-millimetre pistol and huge amount of ammunition among his possession. He had also possessed a camouflage kit at the time of arrest.
The special task force had made the arrest in the early hours according to intelligence information received. The suspect was handed over to the Katana police.
Meanwhile the suspect had claimed that he had a licence for the weapons and produced documents. However the Katana police are carrying out further investigations to learn for what reason the suspect was using camouflage kits.
