Political somersaults continue as election campaign enters final weeks

News

Two more politicians changed camps, one extending support to SJB leader Sajith Premadasa and one to President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the presidential election campaign entered its last few weeks.

SLPP MP Dr.Sudharshini Fernandopulle extended support to Mr. Premadasa today while former MP Vijitha Wijayamuni Soysa, who contested the last general election from the SJB, extended support to the President.

Several more crossovers are expected next week after nomination day on August 15.
