President Ranil Wickremesinghe has accepted the letter of resignation by the election commission member, P. S. M. Charles.
She was notified of this decision by the President’s Secretary, Saman Ekanayake, the President’s Media Division said today (February 7).
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
