Anusha Palpita and D.M.L.D. Bandaranaike have been appointed as new secretaries to the Ministries of Media and Agriculture respectively by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Anusha Palpita has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media with effect from January 1, 2022.
Palpita previously held many posts such as the Director General of the Government Information Department, Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL), Additional Secretary to Ministry of Home Affairs, Secretary to the Ministry of Industries and recently the Chairman of the Development Lotteries Board.
Meanwhile, D.M.L.D. Bandaranaike has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture. He was appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Policies and Plan Implementation this year.
