President Gotabaya Rajapaksa arrived in Parliament today at around 10.05 a.m.
He was welcomed at Parliament's main entrance by Chief Government Whip Johnston Fernando along with State Ministers Kanaka Herath and D. V. Chanaka.
President Rajapaksa took his seat in next to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Leader of the House Dinesh Gunawardena.
Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardana was addressing the Parliament while the President took his seat.
After leaving the Chamber, the President went to his office in Parliament and stayed there for a while.
President Rajapaksa also visited Parliament on April 8 where he chaired the Consultative Committee on Defense for the first time as the Minister of Defense.
The President has also attended Parliament Sittings on February 11.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
