Chinese State Councillor and Defence Minister General Wei Fenghe, who is on a two-day official visit to the island, met President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today at the Presidential Secretariat for discussions.
General Fenghe and his delegation were received at the Presidential Secretariat by President's Secretary Dr P.B. Jayasundara and Foreign Ministry Secretary Admiral (Retd.) Jayanath Colombage.
The Chinese Defence Minister described bilateral discussions between President Rajapaksa and himself as extremely fruitful. He also signed the guest book at the Presidential Secretariat reserved for special guests.
