President instructs IGP to probe construction of ’’fake’’ Dalada Maligawa
President Ranil Wickremesinghe has instructed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to initiate an immediate and comprehensive investigation regarding the construction of a fake Dalada Maligawa in Pothuhera, Kurunegala, the President's Media Division (PMD) stated.
The President's instructions to the IGP came after the Venerable Mahanayaka Theras had reported the matter to the President, the PMD added.
