President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has ordered the Bribery Commission to immediately commence an inquiry into Sri Lankans mentioned in Pandora Papers, President’s Media said.
President Rajapaksa has instructed the Commission’s Chairman to submit a report within a month.
Both President Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa’s cousin Nirupama Rajapaksa and her business tycoon husband Thirukumar Nadesan’s offshore dealings were exposed in Pandora Papers, a global investigation led by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).
