President orders probe on attack on former VC
President Ranil Wickremesinghe urgently orders all relevant authorities to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the assault on the former Vice Chancellor of the Peradeniya University Prof. Athula Senaratne and take necessary action.
Twelve undergraduates of the Peradeniya University students accused of assaulting a former Vice Chancellor and his family members have been suspended pending an inquiry
The investigation is into the incident of the attack on the former Vice Chancellor Professor Atula Senaratne and family members at his residence within the Peradeniya Campus, a senior academic said.
